Realistic Scanner How Do I Use My Police Scanner?

How do I use my police scanner? - realistic scanner

I have a Realistic Pro-41 Scanner 10-Channel Direct Entry Programmable. I tried to put in the "local channels" without success. I really have no idea how to use it or where can I find the frequencies. Do not even know if I can hold the police channels. Are encrypted or something?

Think of your scanner as a stereo system for your car, radios, and the police or fire department and a radio station. If you are looking for a radio station in your car stereo, we all know the numbers as they arise. 99.5, 102.5, 107.9, etc. These are called frequencies. So what you are looking for are police radio frequencies, not to. The channels on the scanner are simply there to keep organized to cover all frequencies. Similar to the buttons on your car stereo, the favorite radio stations to keep stored. Some scanners have 50 channels (up to 50 frequencies), 30 channels (store 30 frequencies), and another billion channels. This copy may only be stored 10 frequencies, it is only 10-channel scanner.

Since yours is an older model, I assumed it must be very easy to use. To enter a frequency, press the keyboard and press Enter. Enter the frequency exactly as shown. There will always be in this form: 100.0000 So let's start by pressing the first three digits, the number later inter the last four digits and then press ENTER. For example, say that the frequency of which is from your local police 460.5000. You start by 460, to give pressure on the number, a 5000 and then press Enter. When I had my first scan, I had me a little confused. I thought the scanner can automatically local action groups alone. After carefully reading the manual, I realized I had to give me everything, lol.

You can use a frequency scanner to search on Yahoo or Google. Enter live simply "John Doe County Scanner Frequencies' or by county you in. You can also search the county radioreference.com and visit there. The scanner is not the police, fire and ambulance is limited, but you can also listen to the safety, local schools, shopping malls, etc. Of course should know or the radio frequencies used in the exploration of these places.

Some circles have for digital broadcasting and encryption, but not much. You can not digiOnly numbers (not yet, anyway). If there is only digital and not encrypted, then yes, but the scanner can be up to $ 500. Other counties have so-called trunked radio systems. Trunked radio systems directly from one frequency to another. You need to master a scanner to maintain the systems connect to the network, but the scanner is about $ 200 or more. When you begin to enjoy, this pastime to walk up to a more advanced scanner with many interesting features and capabilites.
